Education and Outreach

The Cancer Institute reaches out to patients and the public by bringing our scientific discoveries and educational opportunities into the community. The Cancer Institute supports several programs that aim to increase cancer awareness, education, and prevention in Arkansas, as well as providing opportunities for the public to learn about our research, including:

• Arkansas Cancer Community Network (AR-CCN)
• Cancer Institute Cancer Control Outreach Center
• Ottenheimer Cancer Education Center
• The Witness Project

In addition, the Cancer Institute hosts special events for the public to educate and increase awareness of cancer and cancer research. These programs include various seminars on cancer, tours of our center, and providing cancer education resources to other organizations, schools, and communities statewide.
