Social workers at the Cancer Institute provide support to patients and families as they face the difficult changes a diagnosis of cancer can bring. Clinical social workers are trained in counseling and resource coordination. They can provide emotional support, be an advocate for you with your health care team, and talk with you about resources available to you.

The Cancer Institute Clinical Oncology Social Work Department is staffed by Master's-level, licensed, certified social workers. A clinical social worker is assigned to each treatment area within the cancer center. Please call (501) 686-8145 for more information about the Cancer Institute Clinical Oncology Social Work Department or to set up an appointment with one of our social workers. Please select the links at right for more information about services.

Cancer Institute has access to a large number of medical interpreters, certified to translate health information for patient and family members in languages such as Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Italian and Vietnamese. Click here for a list of the interpreters and how to contact them
